GNL S15 has officially finished! Going into the last week there were 3 teams competing for first place. The season came down to the few last series with GNL Bears barely squeezing out the victory. Giggling Goblins and Rage & Ape, Attorneys at War took 2nd and 3rd place respectively, but it was very very close.

Congratulations to the whole GNL Bears team including Ignotus5, Starscream, Crimson, Notsure, Shlumples, Disproved, Sharky, P07470, Irritated, AlexMejor, Kaccel, Winters, AllSupTTV, Soulkeepa, Vallok, Aeiouandxyz, eworm, noMADic, EAShibby, Cedde, Qraut, Biskuit, LavaOgre, Cheeseboy, RickeHult, ImaPanda, ArcMessenger, Colorado, Jabba, Cas, and Barren.

This season was the largest season yet, We had over 180 players play in GNL. There were many many new faces and of course it was great to see many old players and faces as well. As we will talk about later as well, in total GNL players played over 10,000 ladder games in training for this GNL Season. It truly was a crazy season.

Here are the point totals:

The unOfficial GNL Site and Some GNL Statistics

This season LongJacket made an amazing site which tracked the activity of the teams and players individually. Check it out here . Longjacket also made our players their very own ladder achievements to encourage laddering. Not only does that site track GNL stats but if you click around you can find build orders and creep routes!.

You should all go check out the full breakdown of the teams and players by Longjacket on his website, but here are a few stats I was able to pick out.

In total, GNL Players played 10,712 ladder games during the 6 weeks of the season. In the end Giggling Goblins as a team clearly played the most matches and easily achieved the most points. GNL Bears had the second most with Rage & Ape in third.

Leshka, from team Giggling Goblins, played the most games over the GNL season with 384 ladder games.

Supa from team Apelords gained the most MMR in one season… a 310 MMR gain!

Aeiouandxyz from team GNL Bears had the longest streak of wins at 14.

Hellomotto from team Giggling Goblins played the most games in one day with 42 games in one day~

Fantasy League

As per usual we had another interesting season of Fantasy League. Manadog was able to leap ahead in the last week and take first place with Barren in second and Sharky in third.

GotQuail did a very cool write up outlining all the scores and some interesting notes about fantasy league. You can read it in detail here.

Here is a look at the top 5 scores.

Plans going forward

There will be a GNL S16, but we will be taking a break. As always, Fountain of Manner League which is run by Wontu and the boys in FoM will happen while we all take a rest from GNL.

In the meantime there are a ton of other events that will be happening. Gym will continue hosting events such as King of the Hill and potentially other cool tournaments and projects.

Of course all the captains and coaches (and players) will still be hanging around in gym and ready to practice and train and just hang out and game so come join us there!

We are always looking for new projects/events to do in Warcraft 3, on our Discord, or on our site. If you have any suggestions or ideas message one of the admins on Discord. If you would like to help out as well with any of the things being done in Gym, just message Barren or one of the other admins.

If you do not know what GNL is or are interested in taking part in the future this post explains it all.

Come hang out with us on Discord. The games never stop there. You can also follow us on Twitter.
